Nordik Meats, Inc Terms and Conditions – Effective January 1, 2022

Nordik Meats, Inc. sells wholesale product, direct to consumers, half or whole beef or pork animals, by hanging weight. Hanging weight, also called “Hot Carcass” weight is the actual weight of the animal shortly after it is slaughtered, minus skin, head, and most internal organs. Our standard aging time is 5-10 days. Processing charges are given at the final invoice date or immediately if booked online. Cutting instructions are required for each animal prior to confirmation of order and date of animal arrival.

Delivery Policy

Nordik Meats requires the animal(s) to be delivered by the customer or a hauler of the customer’s choice. Customer is responsible for delivery charges. Nordik Meats will care for all animals up to processing date.

All animals and trailers must pass plant inspection before unloading. We do have the right to turn anyone away without a refund on their slaughter fee.

Only animals scheduled for processing are allowed to be unloaded. If extra animals are delivered that are not previously scheduled for processing and/or have not paid for a processing appointment, will be rejected. The producer is responsible for returning the animal(s) to its origination. (In rare cases, Nordik Meats reserves the right to accept unplanned animals ONLY if capacity has not been exceeded according to USDA regulations. If the unplanned animal(s) is accepted, a $50 extra fee will be applied.)

Animal Condition: Horns and Good Health

Nordik Meats has the right to refuse any animal that is delivered with horns longer than 3 inches on either side at the owner’s expense without a refund on the slaughter fee. Nordik Meats also reserves the right to turn away any animals that does not seem fit for slaughter at the owner’s expense without a refund on the slaughter fee.

Terms of Payment

Slaughter fees MUST be paid in full to secure a processing date.

A beef slaughter fee of $125 will be due at the time of booking.

A pork slaughter fee is $78 will be due at time of booking.

Beef processing cost is $0.94/lbs (as of July 1, 2022).

Pork processing cost is $0.84/lbs (as of July 1, 2022).

Grind charge is $0.29/lbs.

A lamb slaughter and processing fee is $150.

All payment is due upon pickup of the product. A $45 per week fee will be applied to orders not picked up within 15 days from invoicing. 

Cancellations and Refund Policy

Cancellation policy is 8 weeks prior to the original appointment date to receive a full refund.
